Practical application of HEM polyamine fluid for deepwater drilling in South China Sea

  • 摘要: 深水钻井在安全和环保方面对钻井液技术提出了更高的要求,如极强的抑制性,优质的润滑性,不易形成气体水合物,维护简单、操作方便、提高钻速等。为预防黏土膨胀,利用聚胺抑制剂、低分子包被剂、防泥包润滑剂及流型调节剂等材料, 构建了一套强抑制的深水用HEM 聚胺钻井液体系,并采用水合物软件模拟计算了抑制水合物生成的配方。HEM 聚胺钻井液在南中国海成功应用15 口井,对深水钻井过程中预防气体水合物的形成奠定了基础。

     

    Abstract: Deepwater drilling raises higher safety and environmental requirements on the drilling fluid. For example, the fluid must have strong inhibition performance and excellent lubricity. It should not produce gas hydrates easily and should have such characteristics as simple maintenance, easy operation, and improved drilling speed. To prevent clay swelling, polyamine inhibitors, low-molecular coating agent, anti-balling lubricant, and flow regulator are used to build a deepwater HEM polyamine fluid system with strong inhibition performance, and the hydrate software simulation is used to calculate the formula of inhibiting hydrate formation. HEM polyamine fluid has been successfully applied in 15 wells in the South China Sea and lays the foundation for the prevention of gas hydrate formation in deepwater drilling process.
